By Ron Rico

If you work in the general public service sector then it can be very embarrassing if you are afflicted by a nail fungus. However there are some nail fungus home remedies you can try out and they should be able to help you get back to a normal life. The remedies are not only meant to reduce the infection but get rid of it completely. Many of the items are easy to find in the home and are quite cheap also.

You can also mix plain vinegar and water in the same ratio and then dip your hands in the solution. If you do this twice a day your infection should start clearing off after about a week. You can them employ a nail file to file off any remaining bits but you should be careful not to file off your nails too much. The filing can be done after you have soaked your nails for sometime and they are soft.

You can have results as early as one week if you rub on Vicks Vaporub on the infected nails twice a day without failure. But this remedy effectiveness depends on how bad the infection is so it may vary from person to person and it may take longer. If you are severely infected, they may even take 3 months to completely clear up.

You may also utilize Vitamin E oils that are found in most households as a means of treatment. You should apply the vitamin E oils to the nails at least twice a day. This form of treatment takes a while to show any results but as the nails grow longer they will be free from fungal infesting.

You can also soak your nails in Listerine mouth wash once or twice a day. The antiseptic will work on your toe nails and leave them looking healthy and free of any fungi. It is also relatively fast acting so if you do not have the patience to go with any other slower methods you can give this a try.

Cider vinegar is also another liquid that one can use for treatment. Individuals can also soak their nails in it at least twice a day and they should see positive results after two weeks. Not only will your nails clear of them but you should also be able to see a growth of clear long nails emerging.

In as much as you are looking for a cure you may also want to prevent a re-infection of the nails you are looking to cure. If your nails are continuously exposed to moist and warm environments then you may end up with infection after infection. You can avoid this by always making sure that your feet are dry and you do not put on wet shoes.

Nail fungus home remedies are quite inexpensive and easy methods you can use to take care of any nail infection you may have. There are more serious cases that require the attention of a medical physician so if yours is a serious case go to a doctor so that he tells you exactly what to do. Instead of prescribing you a pharmaceutical drug you can ask to be given a much cheaper home remedy option you can use.
